How to Get Help

Having been a perfectionist for most of my life, I was terrified of failing.


I spent so much time…


Second-guessing. I could take hours to write an email response.

Constantly deleting, rewriting, deleting... Holding my breath when I finally clicked send.


Worrying. Stressing.

What if it doesn’t work? What if it does work? No, it’s not going to work.

Ugh.


Struggling in silence.

Reply I’m fine when I really wasn’t fine.

Tell myself I’ll figure it out when I really didn’t know how.


I share because I want you to know that it’s totally normal and that you don’t have to do it alone!!


It was hard for me to ask for help in the beginning because I thought it meant I had failed completely.


Until I realized NOT asking for help is failing.

There are so many ways to get help- please don’t make it even harder for yourself.

Do you want things done BY you alone?

Think podcasts, books, articles/blogs, videos, pre-recorded online courses, etc.


Do you want things done WITH you?

Think live workshops, classes, group programs, coaching, etc.


Do you want things done FOR you?

Think templates, outsourcing, consultants, coaching* (more applicable to certain topics), etc.
