As a patient, one of the worst things to hear from your doctor is… “this is interesting.”
Because it’s really code for… “I have no idea what’s going on. Good luck with that.” 😂
I know because I’ve experienced this as a patient. It SUCKS to feel helpless. When the one person you trust to help you stares blankly back at you.
But the experience has helped me become my own advocate. To assemble a team of practitioners focused on treating the root cause and not just putting a bandaid on a symptom. It’s allowed me to become more mindful in my communications to patients and clients.
Even though you know all the things you “should” do to be healthy, actually doing it is another story. 😅
Every body is different and you might think you can go 120mph constantly because “that’s how you are.”
But no one is immune to the impacts of chronic stress.
We each have our own threshold. Do you know where yours is?
Do you wait until your phone is about to die before recharging the battery or keep using it until it dies on you?
Wouldn’t it be easier if you periodically checked in and kept the battery healthy and well so you never have to run out especially when you actually need it?
